NEXROC to Launch Asset Management, Insurance and Holding Platforms

NEXROC Group to Launch Asset Management, Insurance and Holding Platforms NEXROC, Inc, NEXLIFE Group and SVCV, Inc
Japanese holding company NEXROC Group, formerly known as NextRock Investment Group, is launching its asset management platform, NEXROC, Inc.; life insurance platform, NEXLIFE Group; and cultural holding company, SVCV, Inc.
NEXROC is advancing a structured financing strategy that it describes as combining “private equity economics with public credit liquidity” as it prepares to launch a next-generation asset holding platform anchored in regulated financial services.
The group has developed a strategy to establish a Bermuda-based life insurer, a multi-strategy credit platform and a cultural holding company focused on consumer, entertainment, luxury and fashion assets.
The company says it is in the final stages of negotiations with a team of four investment executives from Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds for its New York office. It also plans to begin negotiations with prospective founding partners for each subsidiary platform.
Inspired by the reinsurance model employed by firms such as KKR, Brookfield Asset Management and Apollo Global Management, NEXROC plans to acquire life insurance businesses and partner with insurers internationally in exchange for management rights over portions of their investment portfolios, with the aim of generating higher risk-adjusted returns.
NEXROC aims to build a permanent-capital investment platform centered on private credit, life insurance and intellectual property. Over the coming years, the company plans to establish multiple special-purpose vehicles to pursue acquisitions of music catalogs, insurance businesses and credit platforms.
The group plans to pursue public listings in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bermuda and New York over the coming years.
The launch comes as investor interest in Japanese assets has increased in recent years, though execution remains a principal challenge. The strategy depends on securing institutional partners, completing acquisitions, obtaining regulatory approvals across multiple jurisdictions and managing bridge financing costs.
